Thorpe Hesley Cricket Club - Founded 1905

The Club currently fields one side in the South Yorkshire Cricket League (www.sycl.play-cricket.com) in Division Three and has two junior teams playing in the Ben Jessop Sheffield and District Junior Cricket League.

Having consolidated the clubs position the club's objective for 2012 is to progress and challenge for promotion from Division 3 of the SYCL. The focus of the clubs future is the development of the exciting junior section. This is being achieved in conjuction with assistance from the South Yorkshire school development program and a tremendous amount of effort from the club, most in particular Gordon Davis.

Thorpe Hesley Cricket Club is committed to providing a focus for cricket within the local community and the surrounding area through:

• Encouraging participation in all spheres of the game on and off the field.
• Affording young players maximum opportunity to integrate into senior cricket and assisting their development.
• Encouraging the highest standards of behavior and sportsmanship whilst remaining competitive.
